Mark and Alicia came to wine making as part of the set up at Jauma with James Erskine, and started to make a little wine on the side in the shed. When James moved to his new facility at his Cherry farm they stayed on and have ramped things up in fine style. Working with fruit primarily from from Mount Compass, Mount Torrens they have set about creating a spread of cuvee that are representative of them and what they like to drink whilst following the nothing added, nothing taken away mantra.
This is a cracking Savagnin that really is quite representative of the the varietal in it's native setting of the Jura through an Australian lens. Fresh, bright, clean and energetic holding a keen edge with huge amounts of drinkability. Appley, nutty and a little saline this is a great bottle.
