Gramenon was founded in 1978 and is located in Montbrison-Sur-Lez in the most northern part of the southern Côtes du Rhône area at an altitude of 350-metres. Managed by Michèle Aubery since the passing of her husband in the late 90's, she is now assisted by her son Maxime François Laurent, a talented wine maker in his own right.
Rarely do wines of Cotes du Rhone status cause such a fervor, but the beauty of the terroir accompanied by Michele and Maxime's skill and understanding of their surrounds creates wines of place and exceptional beauty that are eagerly awaited and enjoyed for their deft touch, purity and complexity.
L'Emouvante is a new addition to their lineup, a pure Syrah made from the same vineyard that produces La Sagesse. Fluid layers from old vines show deep concentration yet remains light on its feet. Black fruits, violets and hints of pepper, juicy, silky and throughly drinkable.
