When Laurent Tribut married Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat, the daughter of René Dauvissat, he joined the family's storied winemaking tradition. For years, Laurent made his wines in the Dauvissat cellars, in the same manner and spirit as the now legendary Dauvissat wines.
Although he has moved into his own cellar he has taken some of that history and reinterprets it his way, now with the help of his daughter, Solagne, a talented winemaker in her own right.
Coming from two different plots on 0.8 hectares Côte de Léchet this has an abundance of citrus, sea spray and deep ocean. Opulent yet elegant with a decent amount of power to it. The balance of length and weight is handled well as it lengthens to a finer finish than the initial palate indicates. Not exactly classic but so very delicious.
