Rolet has been farming here since the 1940's under their own banner, a family of successive winemakers that have always focused on the details of farming first and foremost in their quest for quality.

The Domaine's vines average 45 years old and cover 65ha across Arbois, Cotes du Jura, l'Etoile and Chateau-Chalon, the resulting wines have gained a reputation for excellence with wine professionals and drinkers alike for their purity, typicity and concentration.

Classic Jura varieties are planted across steep slopes on appropriate soils; Chardonnay (light marls), Savagnin (grey marls), Poulsard (red & blue marls), Trousseau (heavy gravels) and Pinot Noir (light marls).

The infamous yellow wines of the Jura, Vin Jaune, are distinct and unique. A six year elevage under a fragile flor "sous voile" in the same manner as the sherry styles of Andalusia from where the technique was adopted.

Here Rolet have crafted a textbook example, fine and salty layers of apricot, walnuts and almonds with wisps of smoke and the ocean interwoven on a powerful frame that has focus and precision.
