Felton Road was established in 1997 in one of the most southerly vineyard settings in the world. Located in the exceptional sub region of Bannockburn with north facing slopes, hemmed in by snow capped mountains and moderated by Lake Dunstan makes for plenty of long warm days and crisp cool nights suited to crafting excellent Pinot Noir.
Cornish point was planted in 2000 and consistently produces dense and lightly brooding wines that are best put away for a few years. 2020 is a moderately intense pinot noir with dark plums, cassis, chocolate-mocha, spice, anise and subtle floral notes sluiced with velvety tannins.
2020 was an exceptional vintage at Felton Road, this is one to put down for a few years if you can.
