Jean Foillard has forged not only his own reputation but helped resurrect that of an entire appellation through crafting wines of elegance, purity and health by returning to a more holistic way of farming.
Gentle farming, lower yields, native yeasts, and long low temperature carbonic macerations are his hallmarks that help to produce Cru Beaujolais of immense purity and finesse.
It was with much excitement in the early 2000's when the Foillard's acquired holdings in Fleurie, releasing their first wine from this new plot in 2005.
Bright, fresh and light elegance is all raspberry and strawberry fruits with lifted florals a little spice and some fine snappy tannins that is just a joy to drink making this a must have light red for the warmer months. Cru Beaujolais made with the elegance and precision Cru Burgundy.
There is never enough of this to around.
