Bodegas López de Heredia is one of the world’s great wine estates. Founded in 1877 by Don Rafael López de Heredia y Landeta, it remains safely in family hands to this day. Their sizeable are planted to Tempranillo mainly, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo for the reds and Viura with Malvasia for the whites. with some vines reaching 80-100 years old naturally keeping yields low and quality and complexity high.

Time is of no consequence at this estate, a wine is released only when it's deemed ready, irrespective of any other factors, nothing is rushed for the sake of it. Every wine spends its requisite time in seasoned oak plus extended bottle ageing for it then to pass a final inspection of readiness.

The fruit for Bosconia comes from the foothills of the mountains and always delivers a wine of subtle power and ageability. Bottled in a burgundy bottle does give a little reference as to the esteem the estate holds this cuvee in. Dark fruited, with dried flowers on the nose, detailed fine tannins and a length that stretched right out. Punchy with background notes of amaro on a silken frame.
