Muchada-Léclapart is an adventurous project from architect turned winemaker Alejandro Muchada and highly respected Champagne grower David Léclapart. They biodynamically farm 3 hectares of old Palomino and Muscat vineyards in Sanlúcar, Andalusia.
Coming from 20+ year old vines on lean chalky soils these are distinct pure wines cut in the style of both Andalusia and the Jura. Fermented and aged in stainless steel and ceramic tanks spending 7-9 months on lees. A bright nose of salt and spice, orchard fruits and white almonds on the palate, A leanness without being skeletal and a tense core mineral driven acidity.
Exotic and captivating this is a wine to contemplate and savour from a very unique project.
