Remelluri is an idyllic farm located in the surroundings of Labastida, La Rioja Alavesa. It has a hundred hectares of their own vineyard, where the Rodríguez Hermandorea family has perfectly recreated a vineyard in the style of the "château" from Bordeaux.
Telmo and his sister, Amaia Rodríguez Hernandorena, run the estate, whose motto "the future is in the past", informs everything they do. These wines showcase elegance, finesse, aromatic complexity and are built to age gracefully for decades.
The Reserva is the original wine from Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri, sourced from the most important vineyards consisting of 148 plots in 25 sites. Only indigenous varieties are used, planted from 1918 until today, averaging 40 years old. The blend consists of low-yield, goblet-trained Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and open top foudres, then aged for 21 months in various barrels and 5 years in bottle.
