Thibaud Baudignon seems to have just arrived out of thin air having settled in the Loire and producing his own wines a little over ten years ago. And what delicious pure wines these are.
This is a direct press rose vinified like a white wine from mostly Cabernet Franc, with some Grolleau and a little Gamay, grown on schist, rhyolite and sand. Fermented in stainless with native yeasts, followed by maturation in tank for 4 to 6 months. Dont let the colour fool you, this may be bright pink but filled with tension, salinity and structure. This is a cracking bone dry rose.
