Since 1898 the Brunier family have been farming on the famed plateau La Crau in Chateauneuf de Pape. What started as a mere hectare has now through the generations grown into one of the most respected estates in the Southern Rhone. Of the 173 acres that form the domaine today, 65 are dedicated to red Châteauneuf-du-Pape and five to white.
Vibrant and bright nose sits high full of bold red fruits, the palate teaming with raspberry and strawberry, spices and pepper and an earthy base note. Nicely weighted and fluid from front to back, a supple feel as the structure builds and the close woven tannins unfurl on a lengthy finish. A nice concentration without being too intense leading this to be a great vintage that will age very well.
