The wines of Robert Weil have been revered around the globe for years, like Tiffany's, that pale blue of their label has become synonymous with quality and grace. With holdings in some of the Rheingau's best vineyards, the wines of Weil have had drinkers spellbound for decades with their purity and detail, making the most of the south facing aspects and their elevation to be one of the top estates in all of Germany.
2020 was an outstanding vintage in Germany, and this is further proof of the quality of Weil's sites. A blend of fruit from a number of plots across the appellation this is nervy, tense and fine in all the best ways yet still with a medium weight. Filled with white flowers, lime, peach and mineral laden cool stone and plenty of mouth watering acidity.
Never the cheapest rieslings on the market but the quality and ageability of these are always exceptional from gutswein to the GG's.
