Ochota Barrels is a label built on passion, quality and farming with humanity, humour and music.... oh and a love of cats. At the front of the minimal intervention wave that shook the Adelaide Hills, the reverberations of which have inspired others to follow.

Working with a slew of small vineyards chosen for their quality, planted out and worked organically with varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot and Grenache forming the core of what Taras and Amber set about creating, delicious wine of impact, whilst leaving minimal impact themselves.

2020 saw the end of a chapter at Ochota Barrels, but not the end of a story. Sadly this was the last vintage that Taras had his hand in, Amber and their children will carry it forward from here with the help of their long time assistant Louis Schoefield.
