Mosel winemaking is not for the faint of heart. From impossibly steep vineyards to the constant need of vine attention, this truly is a land of sink or swim. Eva is the current winemaker in a long history of generational ownership of the domain. This collective knowledge and experience are part of what makes these wines so easy to fall in love with, alongside Eva’s unique touch, which has led to her being awarded 2022’s German Winemaker of the Year.

This delicious Spatlese from the finest vineyard in Trittenheim, Apotheke. It is considered amongst the top sites in the Mosel and is home to some of the oldest vines, from 60 to 80 years old.

A wine with subtle sweetness but not so subtle flavour; candied apricot, pear drops, wrapped up in a bow with a pure, balanced acidity. Like walking a strangely pleasant tightrope. A beautiful wine from without question, a real Boss of the Mosel.
