Bruno Duchene settled in the Roussillon in 2002, purchasing a vineyard that was clearly exceptional, but also impossible to work – at least with tractor, the vines he acquired were lovely terraced parcels, unsuitable for mechanised farming due to their steep slopes.
Having spent time with Fred Cossard learning the art of farming and wine making, Duchene does all his processes as minimal as possible.
Comprised of mostly Grenache Noir and Carignan this is a wine of suprising brightness and fine tannins. Strawberry, plum and cherry cola with some fine edged flinty mineral underneath.
