The House of Charles Heidsieck is exceedingly well regarded for wines of richness, finesse and quality as well as the bon vivant name sake dubbed Champagne Charlie.

Having access to excellent vineyards as well as a world class facility along with ancient chalk drives this is a house that is focussed purely on quality and taste, keeping a vast library of reserve wines for their exceptional non vintage blend whilst only producing  their vintage wines in years of exceptional quality.

This 2013 vintage which was disgorged in 2022, is a rich and texturally powerful vintage that holds comparisons to 1995 and 2003. A cold and crisp Spring was followed by a short hot spell in the lead up to harvest that brought fullness and maturity but still with precision and freshness.

This blend of 57% Pinot Noir and 43% Chardonnay is the classic pitch for Heidsieck and with 9 grams per litre of dosage brings a richness and verve to an impeccable palate rich with orchard fruits with a lively bead and acidity with hints of cinnamon and pepper.
