Previously known as Domaine Au Gay, Château Lafleur is a tiny estate of a mere 4.5 hectares and sits alongside its famous neighbours Petrus and Lafleur Petrus.
One of the finest estates in Bordeaux yet outside of fans of the wine, an estate that is less well known as their neighbour at Petrus or their Grand Cru peers in other parts of region.
Unlike most other Pomerol wines, Lafleur is not Merlot predominant, it is actually co-captained by an equal proportion of Cabernet Franc, and because of this 50/50 ratio, display a heady perfume, and when compared to other Pomerol, an exceptional capacity to age. As a result, Lafleur is certainly one of the Pomerol's that improves the most over time and that can be kept the longest.
These exceedingly rare wines have been impeccably stored with a couple of minor stains on near perfect labels with fill level in the neck.
