Situated on the outskirts of Pauillac, Lynch Bages owes its name partly to its location in the hamlet of Bages and to the Lynch family, of Irish decent, who were long term custodians. Rated 5eme in 1855 the wines have always had an ability to punch well above their station and can rival some of their 2eme peers with great regularity.
The Cazes family acquired the estate in the 30's but it was Jean-Michel Cazes and his tireless work in the 70's, 80's and 90's that really made Lynch Bages a formidable brand opening up strong trade in Hong Kong and the US.
Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Franc this is a Chateau that is said to provide 2eme quality at a fraction of the price and as such is widely collected and held in extremely high regard.
These bottles have excellent labels and fill levels in the base of neck.
