Sitting atop the hills in Margaux is Marquis d'Alesme, one of the earliest estates in the appellation, being established in 1585.
Known for their delicate finesse and positive development under cork, d'Alesme is based primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon 65% and 30% Merlot displaying charecters of cooked fruit, cassis and chocolate with a fine dry structure that is known for its ageing potential.
Received in its original crate the labels are very good but with some stains and fill levels very high shoulder.
