The wines of Coche Dury are some of the most prized in any collection around the world. Cult status can be appropriately applied to describe this very humble family of dedicated farmers who do not seek the limelight nor the fame that their dedication and skill has brought them. Although Jean-Francois has retired his son Raphael and his wife have taken the mantle and continue in just the same fastidious manner that has been taught to them.

Working Lutte Raisonnée in all their parcels, cared for with an uncompromising diligence, seeking only the most perfect fruit with the most modest of yields. Coche farms almost nine hectares on minuscule parcels over six communes: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, and Volnay.  With the worlds attention on their Chardonnay, their small suite of exceptional Pinot Noir's should not be overlooked being full of grace and elegance.

This is a rare wine indeed, the first time that they have purchased wine from the Hospices in their yearly auction, six barrels worth to be precise, with the elevage finished by Raphael in the Coche way.

An attractively fresh nose of both red and dark currant, earth and a whiff of oak. The medium weight possess good underlying tension and complexity with the use of oak used to create their infamous ageability and length from extended elevage on lees.
