Commune of Buttons is the project from brother and sister, Jasper and Sophie Button, who have returned to the Adelaide Hills working their childhood farm Fernglen, a 70 acre farm with 12 acres of vines set among the sloping hills and bush.
Fully organic practicing since 2012 and using homeopathic doses of sulphur if and when required, these are thoughtful wines that express place and varietal from a unique cool microclimate.
With disastrously low yields this is a a combination of the ABC and Clover vineyards as these were not produced this year. Highly detailed and fine boned, zesty citrus abounds on a svelte frame. Pure and lip schmackingly good, it's a shame there is so little.
