Giving up the life of an itinerant touring musician to focus on winemaking, Burgundy native Julien Cruchandeau is shining a light on lesser-know pockets of this famed region to great effect.
The initial fruit and vine cuttings for the Cuvee Massale were given to the fledgling winemaker by none other than Aubert de Villaine of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti fame in an effort to highlight the quality of Bouzeron.
A wonderful melange of white flowers, orchard and stone fruit characters are complimented by the grape variety’s characteristic acidity. A mixture of elevage in both stainless steel and old oak add breadth and weight on the palate.
