Founded in 1597, The Bürklin-Wolf estate is based in the Mittelhaardt, the quality core of Germany's world-renowned Pfalz, with their 85ha spread around the around the towns of Wachenheim, Forst, Deidesheim and Ruppertsberg.

They are the largest family owned estate in Germany and are in possession of some of the most prized plots in the country with holdings in the famed crus of Kirchenstück, Jesuitengarten, Ungeheuer and Pechstein, which have for centuries been recognised as producing not only some of the world's greatest dry Rieslings, but simply some of the world's greatest wines.

With a history as long as theirs, there has of course been evolutional change and adaptation as they strive to produce some of the finest single site wines in Germany. With that focus on site specifics of village and vineyard, their wines are produced and labeled more in the vein of Burgundy with their own designation of PC and GC, short for Premier Cru and Grand Cru, having adopted these well before the GG system was implemented.

The Estate Dry riesling is the perfect entry point to the wines of Burklin-Wolf, mineral texture and nicely weighted, this is filled with citrus and stone fruit, cool wet stone mineralogy and fine boned acidity that makes this refreshing and versatile.
