Located not far from Reims in Villers-Aux-Noeuds, Emmanuel Brochet has has quietly gone about making quite the name for himself in the grower champagne market. These are textural and nervy Champagnes that truly show his close attention to the small details that express themselves beautifully.

He began working a portion of his family's holdings back in 1997, with his first wines released in 2002. He began organic conversion on his 2.5 hectare vineyards in 2008. He is very much of the belief that organics has lead to a richer more mineral driven expression of his vineyard.

Coming from the La Motelle lieu-dit this is 100% Pinot Meunier that sees 24 hours maceration to extract it beautiful colour as well as some shapely phenolics. The nose is filled with snappy red fruits and berries. The palate has a multi-layered richness filled with raspberries and plums that have depth and breadth across the mouth that extends long and fine. This is highly detailed displaying Emmanuel's knack for coaxing out minerality to produce luscious yet savoury fruit that is an absolute pleasure to drink.
