The small estate of Champagne George Laval has been cultivating grapes for generations, though it wasn’t until the 1970s that George began bottling his own wines and working organically. Now led by his son Vincent since 1996, the 2.5-hectare vineyard in Cumieres, near Epernay, has gained renown among Champagne enthusiasts.
This Champagne is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier, and 35% Chardonnay, aged in neutral oak and disgorged after 18 months. Although not classified as a vintage, it’s a bone-dry, complex wine with ripe fruit, bright citrus, chalky minerals, and a long, precise finish. Serious and rare, it promises a rewarding experience with cellar aging.
