Anselme Selosse’s Substance draws from a perpetual blend started in 1986, sourcing juice from two Avize sites: the south-facing Le Mont de Cramant and the east-facing Les Chantereines. Each release spends 5-6 years on lees and is bottled with minimal dosage, between zero and two grams, allowing it to express terroir over time rather than through a specific vintage. Unlike Millésime, this approach creates a rich, full-bodied Champagne with remarkable depth and complexity, reflecting the age and layered evolution of the blend.
