Gentle farming, lower yields, native yeasts, and long low temperature carbonic macerations are his hallmarks that help to produce Cru Beaujolais of immense purity and finesse.
This famed vineyard is a stand out for Jean each year, a violet hue filled with black cherries, raspberries, blood orange and mineral laden earth. Silky, supple tannins with wet stones, this is excellent in its youth but Foillard has shown that his wines reward patience of careful cellaring and this slightly fuller year is no exception.
