Eric Pfifferling used to be a beekeeper, he would sell the grapes from his 4 hectare vineyard to the local cooperative; the vines had originally been bought by his grandmother. Eventually he decided to start making wine himself, a decision we can all be grateful for.
Respectful of their soils and plants, Eric is a master in the art of expressing the finesse of southern grape varieties. Very pure wines, explosive of fruit, so drinkable.
This is 50/50 Grenache and Mourvèdre, energetic bright and fine, the ruby hue quite captivating. The fine structure of the grapes work beautifully in the background behind cherry cola and strawberry fruits braced by snappy acidity. As always a killer light red.
