The Maurice O’Shea Shiraz is the flagship red wine for Mount Pleasant and is a blend of the best fruit available, only made in the greatest years. Taken from the Old Hill, Old Paddock, Rosehill 1946 and 1965 Vines, it is truly a complex and unique wine that typifies the grace and structure that is Hunter Valley Shiraz.

Aromas of plums, prunes, liquorice and spices sit above a superbly concentrated palate built with layers of plum spice and berry fruits flavours. The French oak is structured to support dense ripe tannins that only old vines in an exceptional year can produce, a wonderful length that leads out long and smart as this wine does in its best years. As always a culmination of old vines and deep tradition making for a truly spectacular wine with all its history bound into every bottle.

These bottles come direct from the wineries cellars and are in pristine condition in every conceivable way.
