Working with Portuguese native varieties Bical and Cercial primarily, this is an exciting new project from a husband and wife team who are a sommelier and oenologist partnership. Influenced by the Atlantic climate these are expressive wines that want to be drunk.
This is 100% Bical, a little smokey and flinty on the nose, some toasted pine nuts, fresh cut pears, a touch of thyme and sea spray on a voluptuous frame that has streamlined acidity.
This Portuguese white has plenty of parallels to sway the burgundy set to take a little holiday.
