Jaboulet is a house that is famous for many things, but their white Rhone wines seem to get a little overlooked. The 2017 Sterimberg is their top white Rhone cuvee this year, with no La Chapelle Hermitage Blanc being made.
Made from Marsanne (70%) and Roussanne this is a remarkable wine of freshness, tension and purity. Wildflowers, apple and herbs on the nose give way to an intense palate of tightly wound citrus, herbal tea and nuts. Minerality runs through its core keeping it razor-sharp and focused. An outstanding wine from a domain that has been in the region since 1834.
