The Rousseaux family has been working a small Grand Cru vineyard since the 18th century, in Verzenay. 

Current head of the estate, Adrien, is a 4th generation winemaker and has been managing the estate since 2012. He works with 2.6ha and does not use herbicides or insecticides. He vinifies each parcel separately to create powerful, expressive and age worthy wines that are made from juice from the first pressing 'Coeur de Cuvee'.

Coming from the tiny Les Chauffours vineyard on the northern slope of Mount Reims which was planted in the mid 70's, this non-dossage blanc de noir is from 100% Pinot Noir with total production a tick under 500 bottles.

A fresh and complex Champagne, the nose is full and ripe whilst the palate is all green apples with a saline minerality rippling through it. This is long fine and pure, delicately textured and full of finesse.

This estate is a must try for all lovers of Champagne.
