The Trimbach family is as close to Alsatian Royalty as you can get, their vineyards on some exceptional terroir with a number of them Grand Cru, yet a moniker they have never really used to signify the exceptional quality of wine they have produced for generations. Time honoured traditions, attention to detail and an almost blatant avoidance of modernisation has seen the Trimbach name become a seal of quality and approval in and of its self.

Trimbach wines are released from the cellars with considerable bottle age and the Frederic Emile is no exception providing an excellent entry point to the Grand Cru wines of the house.

With Clos St Hune now firmly seen as the benchmark of Alsatian riesling, it was in the 1960's that Cuvee Frederic Emile was created as a counter point to the single site wines combining two different Grand Cru sites Osterberg and Geisberg to create a wine that has become a benchmark in its own way today.

The soils in both crus are clay and limestone over sandstone producing exceedingly complex wines of textural minerality and powerful acidity that also age as well as their infamous sibling.

We are exceedingly lucky to have amassed quite the collection of these standout wines from Trimbach direct from the importer of the day. All bottles have excellent fill levels and very good labels.
